Now they have three other children, Samantha, a white cat, Sammy, a black cat, and Sara, a Schnauzer. At times they share the same bed for a regular get together.

Gentle Humor!

A speaker while delivering his speech noticed all the audience left the room except for one man. He asked the man why he didn't leave the room? The man replied; "I'm the next speaker."

A Personal Story

Occasionally John thinks back to when as a taxi operator, he picked up a female fare that was going to jump off the bridge. He offered to buy her a drink to talk about it and then drive her back.

He blew his shift by listening to her story where she was of a minority "who" was madly in love with a prominent son of a wealthy family who had discredited her. When he offered to drive her back to the bridge she replied "I'm OK now".

Several months later she graduated from nursing school and invited John and Joyce to her wedding to a different man. Maybe this was the Lord's plan.

Meet John Asuchak

To John's friends and family he is known as Boola Boola. In Fiji, Boola Bula means "hello and goodbye" just like "Aloha" does in Hawaii. Being spelled Boola Boola has more of a humorous tone and brings a smile.

John was active in his church choir and the CYO. He won a scholarship to The Banff School of Fine Arts for a prize-winning speech on "How to become a better Christian".

Later he attended Campion College to consider becoming a Jesuit. God had other plans for him. At college John won trophies for boxing. In one bout he knocked out the Western Canadian Golden Gloves Champion. John has won trophies in swimming championships too.

Joyce is John's soul mate of 47 years. They have three beautiful grown children and seven beautiful grandchildren residing in Calgary, Edmonton and Prince George. They visit them annually and they visit frequently.

On the weekends, John enjoys swimming and sharing the hot tub with Joyce. They enjoy dining out in their favourite spots. Each year they look forward to their annual trips and cruises.

The Professional to Trust

Much of John's time is spent on the road meeting with clients and planning their funeral funding needs. His passion and priority is helping people. John takes pride in dealing with them honestly and in their best interest.

In 2007 John had successful radical cancer surgery. He contributes his healing to faith in God, a good sense of humor, good healthy food, regular physical and mental exercise.

These days he finds the frustrations of learning to operate a computer is good mental exercise!

During the last twenty-two years in four corners of British Columbia and the Yukon, John has helped many families look after their loved ones with the least amount of worry and expense.
