Going that Extra Mile
Daryl and Barb are here to serve you, whether that means meeting with you in the funeral home or in the comfort of your own home.
They are also available to lead information seminars for your club or organization, or even just an informal gathering of neighbors.
They work closely with all the funeral homes in the Kootenays and are pleased to assist you by answering your questions and will explain different options available to you.
They are also happy to demonstrate use of The Executor Toolkit.
The Kootenays

Daryl and Barb never tire of the beauty and majesty that surrounds them in the Kootenays.

For Daryl & Barb Houser, it’s all about peace of mind...
Meet Daryl and Barb Houser
Daryl and Barb have been married for 35 years and have 3 grown children. The newest distraction and greatest love in their life is their 3 grandchildren. It doesn’t take much to
convince them they need a weekend with one of them.
Friends in the Community
Barb & Daryl enjoy people and the door is always open in their home. Sharing good food and conversation is a favorite way to relax. Each year they join a volunteer service project in other parts of the world and say they never fail to return changed, with renewed compassion and grateful appreciation for the country in which they live.
The Professionals to Trust
Daryl and Barb came to B.C. from the prairies where they farmed for 20 years and then directed and managed a year-round camp facility for five years. They both have Master of Arts degrees and have completed the Certified Pre-planning Consultant course.
The Certified Pre-planning Consultant course is designed by the Funeral Association to ensure that counselors are equipped to help families plan appropriate and sensitive services while also dealing with the contracts, funding and consumer service and protection issues.
It's All About Peace of Mind
Daryl and Barb say, having witnessed the benefits of prearranging first hand in their own family they are convinced of the value they can provide other people.
“Receiving a hug from a grateful family member, hearing a wife express the tremendous help it was to have things decided ahead, or a daughter telling us that it made a difficult time a little easier is what gives us a sense of satisfaction and purpose to our service.” It’s all about peace of mind.
